Joe Ganz = Awesome

Too bad he played in the Big 12. Here's some interesting stats from the Omaha World Herald:

Here's a little more on Joe Ganz's record-breaking season, one that might have received a little more attention if he put up the same numbers in another conference.

Nebraska's senior quarterback passed for 3,332 yards and compiled 3,589 yards of total offense, both school records. But he still ranked sixth in both categories among Big 12 quarterbacks this season.

Ganz even posted a passing efficiency rating of 156.7, but that ranked sixth in his league too.

As irrelevant as it is at this point, it is somewhat interesting to compare Ganz's under-the-radar numbers to those compiled around the other major conferences.

Ganz, averaging 277.7 yards through the air like he did in 2008, would have led the Big Ten, Big East, Pac-10, ACC and SEC in passing this year.

Only two non-Big 12 quarterbacks who compete in the nation's major conferences (Florida's Tim Tebow and USC's Mark Sanchez) recorded higher passer efficiency ratings than Ganz. Illinois' Juice Williams was the only quarterback of that group to average more yards of total offense than the NU signal caller.

Watching this show last night, I was educated on ways to figure out if the girl you are hitting on is a really a dude. They said that facial hair isn't an indicator, because it can be lasered off. They said that it cant be the lack of atoms apple, because the cartilage can be shaved. The one thing that is gender specific, but always over looked is the size of the fingers. They said that if the ring finger is longer than the index finger...its a man! Take a look and compare. Learn something new every day. Why wasn't I ever taught that in anatomy?

Cute Store with a little of everything

This little store has a good variety of products in it. They even have a grill counter and offer a small variety of food at lunch time. The downfall of this store is that it is not always the cleanest. There are a lot of railroaders that come in and out and I am sure its hard keeping it clean. However, the service is always good and the hours are convenient.
