Just doing a quick check...
So far, here are the people I need to find tickets for:
Bryan
Chris
Jeff
Rachel
James
Jen
Coulter
Laura
Jared
Craig
Cassie
That totals 11, and I don't think I can get more than 8 tickets together, but that's fine because I've already got my hands on two tickets for someone.
Deadline for ticket request is TOMORROW!!! So if you know of someone who's not on this list but planning on coming, I need to know, quickly.
And be ready to send $$$.
Good talk.

God Hates Nebraska
A side step from the usual outrageous "God Hate Fags" protest at American soldier funerals, this douche from the Westboro Baptist "Church" in Topeka, Kansas explains Nebraska's damnation. Thanks to Joe Murman for this find.
CU GAME - Info needed ASAP
Okay, there's a number of different ticket outlets to use, but the best prices are actually coming from the CU website...at $65 a pop. And the visitor section seats aren't that bad. And the best part, I think I can get a block of 8.
So, I need to know who all is coming. And note this...if I pull the trigger on these, I'll need your $$ rather quickly.
All other outlets are looking at $90 / ticket.
Holler ASAP!

Colorado Tickets
It seems to be that the starting price for student tickets is $50 unvalidated and $80 validated. In other words, student tickets are running $80. I have the beat on a couple, but I wanted to make sure people were willing to pay $80 before I purchase them.
And with the elevated cost of these bad-boys, I'll probably need your check mailed to me ASAP. Let me know if I should jump on these.

World Premier of Good Knievel
I saw a show last Saturday that featured the debut of a local band named Good Knievel. Many of you may know there guitarist/bassist/keyboardist/harmonica guy of the band as exit 177's own Jess-a-tron. I must say going into the show I wasn't expecting a lot but their play was a welcomed surprise. They had, what seemed like some technical difficulties, with the vocals (they were difficult to hear) but the instrumental play was top notched. The show featured a very clean set with covers from the likes of Green Day, The White Stripes, Weezer, Radiohead, etc. They also featured a couple of their own songs during the encore.
Overall, I would say that Jess-a-tron was the mvp of the show, his versatility, skill, and rock star demeanor was completely unmatched. He even took the reigns of lead vocals for a song or two and really got into character with the "Prefontaine" mustache that he sported.
Hopefully, Good Knievel will get some more gigs so that more of us can take in this bunch of Colorado locals.

The Hectic 177 Calendar

Okay 177, summer is coming to a close and there's a list of events that are planned or need to be planned for the fall. So, we're takin' Exit 177 back to its roots by using it for organizing funness. Here's what we have going on so far:
September 20: Jim & Jessica's Wedding in Fort Collins
October 31 - November 2: Halloween Throwdown/Noka's 30th B-day bash in Denver (this is a potential Fall Fun Fest Date)
November 28: Colorado @ Nebraska - the yearly tradition continues in LinOmaha (also a potential combo with FFF)
December 28 - Jan. 3: 177 goes coastal on the Wedding Cruise
So here's what we need to figure out:
1.) When do we want to do FFF? Halloween Weekend seems to be the most opportune time, or we could also rock it the weekend of the Colorado/Nebraska game.
2.) James' bachelor party? When and where could we maximize fun and minimize cost (this is already going to be a pricey year with the cruise and all).
Let's get crackin' on this. What do you think?
(by the way, in an effort to create a 177 calendar, I may have sent everyone my personal calendar, so please disregard "Butt Sex at Brent's".)
Sorry B
You should repost your last post so that it is above these. I just wanted to share this redic stuff with all of you.

Teacher Salary Project
A cool project to help recruit and retain great teachers. Thought this would be relevant given all the teachers in the 177 community.

I know many of you have seen this, but this is about as good as it gets. I love the fact that

The Final Countdown
In celebration of College Football getting close to begin, I WAS going to post the video of "The Final Countdown" by Europe. But then I found this and couldn't pass it up:
Let's make some guesses: What's this band's name? Where are they playing? What kind of chicks are waiting for them in the tour bus/grandma's van?
